Our first walk of the new season will be an exploration of the little former market town of Tuxford, once an important staging post on the Great North Road. Discover some of the great and controversial people in Tuxford history like highwayman John Nevinson, explore the historic church, the old ‘lock up’, and go in search of the lost ‘baths’! Was King James (allegedly) right to call it ‘Tuxford in the Turd’? Come and make up your own mind!
