History Walk & Talk – Egmanton – Sat 24th July 2021

Our Approach In The Post Covid Environment

We have looked long and hard at how we can keep some form of activity going during the ongoing Covid problems. As a registered tour provider, we have been able to complete the full risk assessments to be certified under the national ‘Good to Go’ scheme which applies unless there is a change in the lockdown rules for our area. Rather like sporting organisations, this means we can hold outdoor activities for up to thirty people providing appropriate measures are taken. So we have decided to have a go at holding some outdoor ‘Talk & Walk’ events, but we are going to restrict the numbers to TWENTY in the first instance.

Outdoor Walk & Talk Around Historic Egmanton

Leading local historian and author ADRIAN GRAY will lead a morning walk around historic Egmanton including its unusual church, the medieval fish ponds, the forgotten castle and its new flood defences.
Hear the tragic story of the stone house and other tales!
• 24th July – overflow date Sat 7th August
• Meet at Egmanton parish church, 10am
• Walking distance approx. 3 miles, easy-going with two stiles
